With time Barographs can require repair or servicing to remain in top working condition for recording atmospheric meteorological conditions. Here at Russell Scientific we are able to apply our wealth of Barograph knowledge and assist you with the Repair, Service and Overhaul of your barograph mechanism.

Gluck mechanism
Currently our repair service covers that of a Gluck mechanism.
To check what type of Barograph mechanism you have; initially remove the lid of the drum. If it a Gluck mechanism it will have ‘Gluck’ written on the top. Please see our photos for an example of this.
Skilled Servicing

Following any enquiries we will ask you for as much details as possible to ensure we can accurately quote for the repair of your particular instrument.
Repair Guarantee
All repairs and servicing come with a 12 month warranty (exclusions apply). This guarantee does not cover accidental damage misuse or tampering. Please note our guarantee becomes invalid if the clock/mechanism is handled by another repairer or is tampered with or handled incorrectly. If in doubt please contact us.
Accurate barograph overhauls
Once you are happy to go ahead with the repair quotation you can ship your barograph drum to us or for a set charge we can arrange collection via DPD. On receipt of your parts we will confirm how much the final works will come too along with any part costs that are required to get your weather instrument fully operational again. The repair and service of your barograph drum takes around 3-4 weeks and we will remain in contact with you throughout that time with updates and estimated return shipping dates.

How long will the work take?
Repair, Service and Overhaul of your barograph mechanism will take three to four weeks subject to the specific work required.
Will you collect my item?
We are happy to arrange collection of your Barograph mechanism via DPD and arrange for return shipping. Shipping costs are included as a line item in your quotation prior to finalising your order with us.
How much will it cost?
Following any phone or email enquiry we ask you for as many details and photographs as possible to enable us to accurately quote for your repair service. Our quotation service is free and you are under no obligation to go any further with the process.
Will I get an estimate?
Yes. Once you have agreed our quotation and we have received your Barograph mechanism for repair we will confirm how much the final work will come to along with the cost of any parts that are required to get your weather instrument fully operational again.
Can I send a photo of the item?
Yes. During the quotation process we will ask if you can provide photos and a description of the fault you are experiencing. Photos and videos can be emailed to our dedicated team via: sales@russell-scientific.co.uk
Where do I Send My Barograph Drum
Please only ship Barograph Drums once a quotation and schedule has been agreed via email with a member of our servicing team. All parts must be returned to:
